Types of Breast Procedures
Breast Augmentation Correction
Is a cosmetic procedure that uses saline or silicone-filled implants to enlarge and re-shape sagging breasts. Benefits include enhanced body proportions, more clothing options, improved self-confidence and more.
Breast Lift
Also known as mastopexy, raises, firms and re-contours the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour.
A breast lift can rejuvenate your figure with a breast profile that is more youthful and uplifted. A woman’s breasts often change over time, losing their youthful shape and firmness. These changes and loss of skin elasticity can result from.
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- Weight fluctuations
- Aging
- Gravity
- Heredity
Breasts are raised and the nipples are repositioned and the darker skin surrounding the nipple (areola) can be reduced.
If your breasts are small or have lost volume, breast implants can be inserted in conjunction with a Breast Lift. This can increase both their firmness and their size. Implants are also used to minimize scars; the combination of these two procedures requires only a scar around the areola.
Breast Asymmetry Correction
Asymmetric breasts are very common. A pronounced difference in size can make some women feel embarrassed and self-conscious. Breast asymmetry correction is a surgical procedure that can improve balance and proportion between breasts.
Breast Reconstruction
Breast reconstruction is achieved through several plastic surgery techniques that attempt to restore a breast to near normal shape, appearance, and size following mastectomy.
Breast Reduction
Also known as reduction mammoplasty, breast reduction removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body and to alleviate the discomfort associated with overly large breasts.
Capsular Contracture Correction
Capsular contracture correction is often a welcome treatment for women suffering with hardened or distorted breast implants, also referred to as capsular contracture. Although uncommon, capsular contracture can ruin the results of your breast augmentation.
Nipple Surgery
Dr. Soltero can address several issues relating to the size, proportion and position of the nipple and areola.
Correction of Inverted Nipple
Many women are interested in improving the shape of their breast and would also consider improving the shape of the nipple and areola.
Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation
It essentially uses liposuction to take fat from other parts of your body and inject it into your breasts. This is a breast augmentation option for women who are looking for a relatively small increase size and would prefer natural results.
Dr. Soltero may also have you use a tissue expander weeks before your breast augmentation surgery to improve your results. You may have to have touch-up injections to retain your improved shape if you choose this surgery.

The best candidates for breast enlargement are women who have a thorough understanding of the procedure, including its risks, benefits and costs. Realistic expectations about the outcome are also important. Breast augmentation can improve your figure, but it can’t change any other aspect of your life or make a bad relationship better. Women should only consider undergoing breast augmentation for themselves and not at someone else’s urging.
